Prepare for the unexpected with the Family Critical Illness Plan (FCIP), designed to provide coverage for both you and your family members in the event of a critical illness. If any of the covered family members are diagnosed with one of the six major illnesses listed, you can access up to $3 million in coverage. With the option to select individual coverage amounts for each family member, the FCIP offers flexibility to suit your needs and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your family is protected.
Eligible Illnesses
- Cancer
- Heart Attack
- Stroke
- Paralysis
- Major Burns
- Coma
Benefits
- This plan is available to members and up to five eligible family members. Each family member can receive a lump sum benefit payment for their coverage.
- Each member can have their own coverage amount, up to a maximum of $3 million per person, providing flexible protection for the entire family.
- Once the plan has been in effect and no claims have been made, 50% of the premiums paid will be refunded when the insured person reaches 75, or when an unmarried child turns 26 or gets married (whichever occurs first).
Minimum Requirements
Eligibility
- Member must be under 60 years of age
- Spouse and parents are eligible, provided they are under 60 years of age
- Dependent children are eligible until the age of 26
